Jessie E. Salas' Obituary
Racine - Jessie Salas, 78, passed away on Saturday, April 6, at Hospice Alliance House in Kenosha.
Jessie was born to the late Josephine Esquivel and Valente Salas on April 28, 1945, in Kenosha. He was united in marriage to Julie Reque in 2001. Jessie was also previously married to Eloisa Franco, with whom he had four children with.
Jessie worked for Pioneer Products before retiring in 2007. He had a passion for baseball, particularly his beloved Chicago Cubs. He valued time with his children and enjoyed the family gatherings they had.
Jessie will be deeply missed by his wife, Julie Salas; siblings: Hortencia Avila, Stella Sanchez, Rosie Saldana, Joe Salas, and Frank Salas; children: Gene (Spring) Salas, Josie (Mario) Lopez, Carlos (Heather) Salas, and David Salas; grandchildren: Jessie (Kelly), Heather (Dana), Lacy (Nick), Anthony, Armani, Kodie, Samantha, Julian, James, Jesse, Dave (Sophia), Celese, Grace, Roman, Kayla, and Ryan; great-grandchildren: Daemon, Ella, Leo, Braily, Laylin, Acetyn, Hazel, Miles and Vincent; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jessie is preceded in death by his brothers, Steve and Gabriel Salas, and his great-grandson Jayden.
A celebration of Jessie’s life will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 1:00 PM. A time of visitation for Jessie will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
