Jean M. Ciborowski's Obituary
Mount Pleasant – Jean M. Ciborowski, 92, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at her residence with her children by her side.
Jean was born to the late Fred and Ethel (nee Monty) Drescher on January 3, 1932, in Franksville, Wisconsin. Jean was a proud graduate of Horlick High School. She was a faithful member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Jean worked at Wisconsin Screw Company for several years. While working there, she met her husband, Karl. Jean and Karl were united in marriage on May 14, 1955, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Sturtevant, Wisconsin. They were married for 58 years until Karl’s passing in September of 2013.
Jean had a multitude of talents and interests that she pursued with enthusiasm and joy. She was a skilled seamstress, creating beautiful garments and decorations. Her love for music was evident in her piano playing and her participation in choir. Jean enjoyed cake decorating and delighted in making wedding cakes. She was an avid bowler who actively participated in senior leagues. Jean enjoyed vacationing and creating cherished memories with her family. Jean also enjoyed gardening. She was an avid fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers.
Jean will be deeply missed by her children, Dawn Petersen, Diane D'Angelo, Sharon Ciborowski (Javi), and David Ciborowski; grandchildren, Zachary (Lisa) Hansen, Rhiannon (Andy) Erickson and Davina D'Angelo; great-grandchildren: Brielle Hansen, Aria Hansen, Tyler Erickson, and Brooklyn Erickson; along with many other relatives and friends.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Ciborowski; son, Tommy Ciborowski; son-in-law, David D’Angelo.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of mass. Inurnment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jean’s loving caretaker, Javi Mendez, for his special and wonderful care for Jean. The family would also like to thank Compassus Hospice for their exceptional service and kindness.
