Janet Rae Squire's Obituary
Janet Rae Squire, age 67, of Racine, passed away peacefully at her home on November 12, 2025.
Born in Racine on August 12, 1958, to Edward and Audrey (née Olsen) Chvilicek, Janet lived a life grounded in kindness, curiosity, and quiet strength.
Janet found joy in music, films, gardening, and cooking - simple pleasures that reflected her appreciation for beauty in all its forms. Guided by a gentle awareness of life’s interconnectedness, she cared deeply for people, animals, and the world around her.
Janet will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Melody (Dan Sherlock) Squire; her former husband, Kurt Squire; her siblings, Michael (Pamela) Chvilicek, Jean (Dick) Kass, and Thomas (Kathi) Chvilicek; and her nieces and nephews, Christopher (Brenda) Chvilicek, Cory Chvilicek, Erin (Christopher) Kuncytes, Dean Chvilicek and his partner, Courtney, and Trevor (Sadie) Chvilicek. She is also survived by her close friend, Dale Harrison, along with many other treasured relatives and friends.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Audrey Chvilicek; her grandparents, Henry and Minnie (née Dahl) Borkus and Louis and Angelina (née Pollack) Chvilicek; and several dearly loved aunts, uncles, and other family members.
