Janet S. Hoffman's Obituary
Racine – Janet S. Hoffman (nee Schaefer) was born to eternal life on October 29, 2024 at the age of 97 years.
Janet was a devoted daughter to her parents, Dr. Carl Schaefer and Florence Schaefer. She was a graduate of Racine Park High School and Milwaukee Downer College. She was a lifelong member of Racine’s First Presbyterian Church. She had a passion for drawing and painting and was a very accomplished artist. She both studied and taught at Wustum Museum. She also taught art and was an aid with Racine Unified schools. She often exhibited her work with a strong interest in history. Both artistic and cultural, she was well traveled and visited many important sites in world history. She had two sons with her husband Francis “Jack” Hoffman.
She is survived by her sons, Carl Hoffman of Cleveland Heights, Ohio and Tom Hoffman of Milwaukee.
A celebration of Janet’s life will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by committal service at West Lawn Memorial Park.
