Jane Ellen Reeves' Obituary
Mount Pleasant - Jane Ellen Reeves, age 78, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Ascension All Saints Hospital in Racine.
Born in Racine on December 3, 1946, Jane was the beloved daughter of the late LeRoy and Mary (née Maysian) Cramblet. She dedicated her life to caring for others, working for many years as a registered nurse in several Racine-area hospitals. On June 29, 1991, Jane was united in marriage to Mark Reeves in Reno, Nevada. Together, they shared over three decades of love, laughter, and adventure.
Jane had a love for life and an appreciation for the outdoors—she especially enjoyed boating, camping, and many cruise ship adventures. She cherished time spent at family gatherings and treasured the friendships she built over the years. Jane also spent a chapter of her life living in California, where she continued to nurture her adventurous spirit. She had a passion for shopping and gambling, often sharing those moments with her beloved son and shopping buddy, Jay. Jane always spoke fondly of growing up alongside the Krauses, Cooks, Combs, Canters, and Grahams families, who remained close to her heart.
Jane will be deeply missed by her husband, Mark Reeves; her son, Jay Nichols; her sister, Kathy (Keith) Ross; her brothers: Brad (Nancy) Cramblet and Gary Paul; and her nieces: Nicole, Brittany, Katie, Michelle, and Melissa. Jane is also survived by many other cherished relatives and friends.
Jane was preceded in death by her sister, Kristi Cramblet, and her cousins, Eugene Cook, Mike Cook, and Elena Guzman; and many aunts and uncles.
A celebration of Jane’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jane’s name may be directed to your favorite charity.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to all of Jane’s former coworkers and to everyone who supported her during her illnesses. Your kindness and care meant the world.
