Jane Larson's Obituary
Mrs. Larson, 90, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008 at Oak Ridge Care Center. She was born in Racine on Jan. 5, 1918 to the late Fredrick and Minnie (nee: Schlevensky) Mross. When Jane was an infant her mother, Minnie passed away. Her father, Fredrick, then married Alma and together they raised their children. She lived all of her life in Racine. She was united in marriage to Harold Larson in Racine, on Nov. 1, 1946; he preceded her in death on Nov. 1986.
She was employed at Western Publishing for 45 years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Washington Park and Johnson Park Ladies Golf Leagues; she also belonged to bowling leagues and was a member of the Elks Club Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed her card club and was an avid Packer fan from the Ice Bowl to the games in Milwaukee and the present.
Her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, two sisters-in-law, Ann Larson and Ardys Larson, and many dear friends survive her. Her twin brother, Glenn Mross, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home 1212 Lathrop Ave. on Wednesday, Jan 30, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Daniel Quinn officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorials in memory of Mrs. Larson to St. John Lutheran Church have been suggested.
