Jane Jensen's Obituary
Racine- Mrs. Jane P. (nee: Ogrodowski) Jensen, 89, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at her residence.
Jane was born in Milwaukee to the late Frank and Mary (nee: Konieczka) Ogrodowski on January 4, 1921. She was united in marriage to Ellsworth Jensen on July 2, 1976 at St. Veronica Catholic Church in Milwaukee. After her marriage, she moved to Racine where she lived for most of her life.
Jane was employed at J.C. Penny, first in Milwaukee then, at Elmwood Plaza in Racine for over 35 years. After her retirement she remained active in the community as a volunteer for St. Mary's Auxiliary and Meals on Wheels. She was also a long time member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church since 1976.
She will be dearly missed by her husband Ellsworth; son Joseph (Louise) Szymanski; five grandchildren, Michelle Kesich (special friend, Bruce), Dan Kesich, Linda (Dale) Olszewski, Nichole (Trent) Langness, Natalie Szymanski (fianc?, Rory); four great-grandchildren, Cody Kesich, Sydney and Ashley Olszewski, and Toby Langness. She is also survived by her brother, Ron Ogrodowski of Prescott, Ariz.; special niece, Barb Petersen of Racine; and several other nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter, Camille Kesich of Milwaukee.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church (6400 Spring St.) on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 10:00am with Fr. William J. Dietzler officiating. Interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Wednesday from 9:00am until the time of service.
