Jane Marie Herrin's Obituary
Racine-Jane Marie Herrin, 56, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020.
Jane was born on January 13, 1964, to Charles and Jeanine (nee: Stuhr) Kopecky in Racine. She was united in marriage to Jim Herrin on March 29, 2003, at the Masonic Temple in Racine. Jane was a longtime employee at Passehl’s BP Service on Taylor Avenue for over 20 years.
Jane loved her animals, being the mother of several fur babies over the years. When she was in high school, Jane was active in the school choir as well as Job’s Daughters. She enjoyed gardening and was a social butterfly. Most of all, Jane was a loving mother and wife who had a big heart. She will be deeply missed by her husband, son, and other family.
Left to cherish Jane’s memory is her loving husband, Jim Herrin; son, Mitchell Herrin; brother, Steve Kopecky; sister, Gail Webster; twin brother, Jim (Stacy) Kopecky; mother-in-law, Pat Vande Slunt; sister-in-law, Cheryl Kaiser; brother-in-law, Mark (Yvonne) Herrin; along with several beloved fur babies, other relatives, and friends.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law, Dutch Vande Slunt; and her brother-in-law, Paul Webster.
Family and friends are invited to an Open Mic Celebration of Jane’s life at the Wilson Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at 6:30 PM. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral on Tuesday from 4:30 PM until the time of service. Memorials may be directed to the family. Jane will be laid to rest at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Mullane and his staff for 22 years of compassionate care for Jane; the 3rd floor nursing staff at Ascension All Saints, especially Pam, Miranda, Angi, and Kaitlyn; and Dr. Mano and the Racine Veterinary Clinic.
