James C. Pfeifer, Sr.'s Obituary
Mount Pleasant – James C. Pfeifer, Sr., 70, passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 12, 2016.
Jim was born in Rochester, MN to the late Chester and Olga (nee: Doson) Pfeifer on January 11, 1946. He served in the United States Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War from 1963 until 1969. He was employed as a Licensed Boiler Operator for over 20 years, both at St. Luke’s Hospital and Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints. He also worked in maintenance for Jim Schimanski. James retired in 2007.
Jim was proud to be involved in Cub Scouts for 12 years serving as the Cub Master for Pack 221 at Johnson’s Elementary School. He was also a Boy Scout adult leader helping many teenage boys achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. The biggest impact for James was working with the young Scouts because they were more adapted to learning.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Pfeifer and his sister, Janet Pfeifer-Yagger.

In Memory of James, his son is having a memorial cookout on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 2 pm to 8 pm at the son’s house. Memories and stories can be shared at this time.
The family would like to thank the South Shore Fire and Rescue Department, the staff at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare - All Saints and the neighbors at Graceland Garden Apartments for their kind and companionate support.
