James Harold Liscomb's Obituary
Sturtevant – James Harold Liscomb, age 95, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025.
Born in Racine on August 29, 1929, James was a lifelong resident who exemplified dedication—to his work, his family, and his country. On December 22, 1951, James married the love of his life, Dolores Post, in Racine. They shared a loving marriage for 68 years until her passing on April 28, 2020.
James proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Following his service, he worked for Pottinger Steel Works, where he dedicated a total of 50 years throughout two stretches of employment. Known for his strong work ethic, James was truly a hardworking man in every sense.
James was a devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. He enjoyed playing the lottery, bowling with his beloved Dolores, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
James will be deeply missed by his sons, Jim R. (Linda) Liscomb and Dick (Sherry) Liscomb; his grandchildren, Lisa (Steve) Hicks and Alina Liscomb; and his great-grandchildren, Kyle Hicks, Liv Hicks, and Zander Liscomb. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Cher.
James was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Dolores; his father, Harold Liscomb; and his siblings, Rusty, Doris, and Stella.
Private interment with full military honors will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park.
