James Thomas Graham's Obituary
RACINE - James T. Graham, age 90, of Racine, passed away on June 17, 2016 at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Hospice.
Jim was born on June 15, 1926 to the late James and Emma (nee Trinke) Graham.
Jim joined the U.S. Navy on his 17th birthday and said it was the proudest day of his life. He was patriotic to an extreme and loved his country. Jim served aboard the USS Honolulu affectionately called “The Blue Goose”.
On June 7, 1952, Jim married the love of his life, Marion Krall.
Jim was employed as a truck driver and custodian at Racine Unified for 23 years, retiring in 1989. In his younger years Jim spent his time camping, hunting, and fishing. Jim was an avid reader and did many crossword puzzles. Jim was fascinated with genealogy and was very proud of his Irish heritage. He had the good fortune of visiting Ireland three times. Jim was also a member of the Military Vehicle Collectors Club, the VFW and the American Legion.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons: Kevin (Kristine) Graham, Daniel Graham, and Sean (Brenda) Graham; sister, Doris Schlater and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Marion (nee Krall); brothers: Dennis Graham and William Graham
A private graveside service for James will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 11:00 A.M.
