RACINE—James Peter Christiansen, 73, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 16, 2014.
James was born to the late Holger F. Christiansen and Gwendolyn (nee: Puerner) Christiansen on April 3, 1941 in Racine.
James was an avid outdoorsman who loved bow and gun hunting, and fishing. He enjoyed nature and loved travelling up north. James built custom guns and knives, and was a professional tool and die maker. He was a huge Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers fan. Above all James was a loving father and devoted family man.
James will be dearly missed by his sons, Danny Christiansen and his fiancée Tanya, Dean (Tina) Christiansen, Peter (Denean) Christiansen, and Paul Christiansen and his longtime girlfriend Ruby; his grandchildren, Eric and Anna Christiansen, Cory and Kelsey Christiansen, and Jacklyn and Erin Christiansen; his great-grandchildren, Christopher, Arianna, and Xhaivier; and sister, Jean (Johnny) Jacobs. James also leaves behind many other loving relatives and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Holger and Gwendolyn; and his sister, Joan and Louis Halverson.
A celebration of James’ life will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 11am at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Holly Anderle officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Sunday, December 21st from 5-7PM at Wilson Funeral Home and again on Monday, December 22 at 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to the Christiansen family.
