Jacquelyn "Jacque" Lou Olson's Obituary
Mount Pleasant - Jacquelyn “Jacque” Lou Olson, 89, passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
Jacque was born on November 2, 1936, to Arthur and Grace (née Kotvis) Mackey in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On January 5, 1957, she was united in marriage to David Olson, and together they shared 68 wonderful years of marriage together.
Jacque was employed for 30 years at J.I. Case as a computer center employee before retiring in 1994. She was an avid reader and enjoyed solving crossword puzzles until she lost her vision. Jacque also loved tending to her vegetable and flower gardens, spending time around the campfire, boating, fishing, and snowmobiling at the family cottage in Manitowish Waters in northern Wisconsin.
Jacque will be deeply missed by her loving husband, David Olson; her children: Tamryn (Keith) Anderson of Minneapolis, MN, Todd (Heidi) Olson of Caledonia, WI, and Tia Kon of New Berlin, WI; her grandchildren: Brett (Indra) Anderson, Jennifer (David) Swinehart, Cali (David) Mowad, Sophie Kon, and David Kon; and great-grandchildren: Rhys Swinehart, Kai Mowad, Penelope Mowad, and Otis Anderson. She is further survived by her sister, Karyne Frank; brother-in-law, William Olson (Sue); nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends; and her beloved dog, Annie.
Jacque was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Grace Mackey; parents-in-law, Richard and Nellie Olson; grandson, Ryan Olson; nephew, Kevin Frank; sisters, Barbara Mackey and Beverly Zurawski; brothers-in-law, Jay Frank and Wally Zurawski; and her cherished dogs, Pepi, Cricket, Muffin, Cola, Sasha, Molly, Maggie, and Koko.
In keeping with Jacque’s wishes, a private service was held. Memorials in Jacque’s name may be directed to the Wisconsin Humane Society Racine Campus (8900 16th St, Mt Pleasant, WI 53177).
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Robert Gullberg who treated Jacque for several years and to Compassus Hospice for the compassionate care and incredible support given to Jacque in her time of need, especially Jenny, Haley, Madison, and Vessna.
