Israel Moreno Rodriguez Sr.'s Obituary
Mount Pleasant-Israel Moreno Rodriguez Sr., 83, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Ascension All Saints.
Israel was born to the late Dario Rodriguez and Isabel Moreno on June 6, 1939, in Mexico.
Israel was united in marriage to Martha Rodriguez on September 2, 1961. He moved to the U.S. in 1959 to pursue work for a better future. He was a proud migrant worker. Israel was a UAW local 180 member for Case Corporation, where Israel worked for about 5 years. He also worked for Belle City for over 18 years and retired in 1989. Israel became a citizen March 8, 2018. He really enjoyed spending his time with family and friends.
Israel will be missed dearly by his children: Saul (Su) Jesse Rodriguez, Melinda Rodriguez, Rubin Rodriguez, Israel (Tammy) Rodriguez Jr., Joel Rodriguez, and Mark (Rachel) Rodriguez; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
Israel is preceded in death by his wife Martha Rodriguez; daughter Ida Rodriguez; granddaughter Catarina Ellise Rodriguez; along with other family and friends.
A rosary service will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 10:30 A.M. with funeral services to follow at 11:00 A.M. with Fr. Jose Mario Nieto officiating. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until the start of the rosary service. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Racine.
