Hope Lois Bertram's Obituary
Racine – Hope Lois Bertram (nee: Rigby), 89, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Lincoln Village Convalescent Center Nursing Home.
Hope was born in Racine on February 28, 1925 to the late James Rigby and Emma (nee: Hare) Rigby. On November 2, 1946, she was united in marriage to Elton Bertram.
She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Racine. Hope was a hardworking and giving person devoted to her family. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren meant the world to her. Hope, in partnership with Elton in church functions, enjoyed children's evangelism work, Sunday school, children's Prayer meetings and singing in the choir.
Hope is mother to Tim (Andrea) Bertram and Stephen Bertram; grandmother to Amy (Jake) Browarski, Alyssa (Bryan) Taulbee, and Andrew Bertram; great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren; and sister to Donald George (Gloria Mae nee: Rigby) Took.
Hope was preceded in death by her daughter Muriel and 12 siblings.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Fellowship Baptist Church at 2 pm.
