Hillery Isaacson's Obituary
Union Grove- Hillery Iris (nee: Matterer) Isaacson, 83 passed away Sunday morning October 9, 2011 after a long battle with leukemia.
She was born in Racine on October 29, 1927 and lived in the Town of Paris in Kenosha County after marrying lifelong companion Merlin Isaacson on September 13, 1947.
She was a homemaker and helped with work around the farm early in their marriage. Later she would work seasonally at the Co-op in Union Grove. She was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Sturtevant. She also belonged to the CCW, Catholic Women's Club, Racine Theater Guild, and volunteered at Ridgewood Nursing Home.
She is survived by her children, son Bill(Karen) of Kenosha, son Gary(Gail) of Union Grove, daughter Cheryl Sullivan (Marc Shafroth) of Madison, grandchildren Christian(Hailey) and Joshua Isaacson, Marie(Charles) Sager and seven great-grandchildren Brendon, Darren, Kaylyn , and Cameron Isaacson, Anna , Megan, and Ella Sager, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Merlin, father and mother Raymond and Frieda Matterer, and her brother, Warren Matterer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church (3126 95th Street) at 11:00am with Fr. Paul Raczynski officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the time of Mass. Private Entombment for immediate family will be held at a later date. Memorials in memory of Hillery to St. Sebastian Catholic Church are suggested in lieu of flowers.
