Herman Bay's Obituary
Mr. Herman Bay, 81, passed away at the Wisconsin Veterans Home on Sunday, August 16, 2009.
Herman was born to the late Christ and Anna (nee: Nielsen) Bay on March 15, 1928 and lived his entire life in Racine. He proudly served his country in WWII as a member of the Army. He was also employed as a glazier at Kamm Glass Company where he especially enjoyed making stained glass windows.
Herman is survived by his two sons; Dr. Randall George (Mary Pat) Bay of Bettendorf, IA, Christian Bay of Racine, three daughters; Diane Bay, Sally Bay, both of Racine, and Kathleen (Rick) Conti of Eagle, seven grandchildren; David, Jonathan, Madeline, Amelia, Audrey, Rick, and Victoria, and one sister; Norma Edwards. He was preceded in death by three brothers; Christ Bay, Walter (JoAnn) Bay, and James Bay, a sister, June (Wallace) Jensen as well as his ex-wife, Rosalie, whom he remained friends with for many years.
Funeral services for Mr. Bay will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home 1212 Lathrop Ave, on Saturday August 22, 2009 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Crystal Steinberg officiating. According to Herman's wishes, he will be cremated and inurnment will follow at the Southeastern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery at a later date. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service.
