Helen Mehalko's Obituary
Racine – Helen Mehalko, 93, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014.
Helen was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania on July 17, 1920 to Anthony Konop and Francis (nee: Rolinski) Konop. She married Michael Mehalko in 1939 in Pittsburg. She was a joyful homemaker and loved to decorate her home for the holidays. Helen loved her garden. She also enjoyed watching birds and other wildlife. She had a great sense of humor and laughed a lot. Her greatest source of joy though, was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Helen is survived by her sons; Tony (Kathy) Mehalko, Richard (Diane) Mehalko, daughter, Leslie Mehalko, also by her grandchildren; Richard II (Jenny) Mehalko, Jason Mehalko, and Amy Bradley. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren; Samantha Mehalko, Haley Mehalko, Jordan Cannon, Victoria Cannon, Jessica Mehalko, and Atreyu Mehalko, one great-great grandson, Ezrah Hall, and by other nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Francis Konop, her husband, Michael Mehalko, and by several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Services for Helen will take place on Monday, June 16, 2014 at Wilson Funeral Home.
Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 12:00 to the time of service at 1:00 pm.
There will be a procession to West Lawn Memorial Park immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the Wisconsin Humane Society, 2706 Chicory Rd. Racine, Wisconsin, 53403.
