Harry Hansen's Obituary
King - Mr. Harry R. Hansen, 86, passed away at the Wisconsin Veteran's Home in King on October, 22, 2009.
Harry Hansen was born in Racine to the late Harold and Viola (nee: Schoenleben) Hansen. He lived most of his life in Racine.
Mr. Hansen served in the United States Army Air Corp. during World War II in the South Pacific from 1943 - 1946. He was employed at Service Oil Company for 37 years and retired in 1981. He was an avid bowler and outdoorsman. He especially liked fishing in northern Wisconsin and Canada. He was a woodworking artist specializing in furniture. He also enjoyed his raspberry gardening. His two most important loves were taking care of his mother until the day she died and his dogs who meant everything to him.
Funeral services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 12 noon. Interment with full military honors will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 11 am until the time of service. Memorials may be directed to the local VFW.
