Harriet Tucker's Obituary
Racine- Harriet E. (Martinson) Tucker, 95, went to be with her Lord at Becker Shoop Center on October 14, 2011 shortly before her 96th birthday.
She was born on October 15, 1915 in Sturtevant, to the late Harry and Maude Sorenson. She was married for 50 years to Elmer Hiram Martinson until his death in 1988. In 1990, she was married to Orville Tucker until his death in 2005.
Harriet worked in the service department at Sears until her retirement in 1981. She enjoyed traveling and had lived in both Oregon and Wisconsin since her retirement.
She is survived by her son, Paul (Lynne) Martinson of Racine; her daughter, Barbara (Richard) Jones of Redmond, Ore.; grandchildren, Tim Martinson, Kristen (Mike) Fox, Jeff Jones, Gentry (Karin) Jones, Carolyn (Doug) Reed, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Harry Sorenson, Jr., sisters, Grace Deal, Bessie Knapmiller, and Ellen Maddick, great-grandsons, Mark and Derek Jones, and Collin and Brandon Fox.
A private family service was held at Wilson Funeral Home with interment at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials to the Alzheimer Foundation, The Becker-Shoop Center, or to one's favorite charity has been suggested by the family.
