Gloria Elizabeth Tischer's Obituary
Racine – Gloria E. Tischer, 96, died with her daughter/caregiver at her side in the home they shared together for the past 4 years.
Gloria was born to the late Glenn and Mayvis (nee Benson) Johnson in Racine on August 6, 1924. She was united in marriage to Jack H. Tischer who preceded her in death on February 3, 2000.
Gloria was a member of the Washington Park Golferettes. She enjoyed traveling. Her most recent favorite activity was going out to breakfast for crepes with lemon juice and powdered sugar. Most importantly, Gloria was a homemaker and loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Gloria will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jill Neider; grandchildren: Kevin (fiancée, Leslie Goodwin) Jorgenson and Kali (Alex) Enter; great-grandchildren: Arianna (Hunter) Chapin, Skylar (Yassine) Mejdouli, Joshua Jorgenson, and Paisly Stevens; three great-great grandchildren with two more due this early Autumn; and other relatives and friends.
Living a long life, nearly a century, she outlived most of her family and her friends including her son, Todd M. Tischer in 1998; grandson, Trevor J. Jorgenson in 2020; brother, Glenn (Dorothy) Johnson; and nephew, Marc Johnson.
Per Gloria’s wishes, a private interment is scheduled to be held at Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of memorials, the family asks that you give hugs not only to those you love today, but also those you do not love quite as much.
