Glen Michael Schumacher's Obituary
Mount Pleasant - Glen Michael Schumacher, 70, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024.
Glen was born to Tom and Carol (nee Schmitz) Schumacher on January 14, 1954, in Milwaukee. He was united in marriage to Grace Balian on November 30, 1992, at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Racine.
Glen proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Glen worked as a project manager at Delco in Oak Creek for several years, where he played a key role in manufacturing airplane parts. He then worked as a school bus driver for Durham for 15 years.
Glen was a loving, caring, and truly special person who brought warmth and kindness to everyone who knew him. An avid runner, he competed for Carthage College on a running scholarship, and his passion for running carried on throughout his life. Glen also cherished long walks, enjoyed a good round of golf, and found joy in supporting his favorite sports teams, the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and Badgers. He was known for being a responsible person.
Glen will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 32 years, Grace Schumacher; mother, Carol Schumacher; siblings: Dave Schumacher (Chris), Don Schumacher (Gloria), Brian Schumacher (Betsy), Linda Beck (Jim), and Lisa Schubring (Dan); brother-in-law, Sam Balian (Sue); along with many other relatives and friends.
Glen was preceded in death by his father, Tom Schumacher.
Committal services with full military honors for Glen will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 3:00 P.M. at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
