George Richard Seater Jr.'s Obituary
George R. Seater, Jr peacefully passed away at home on Saturday, July 20, 2024. Born on March 24, 1944, in Racine, WI, George was the son of George R. and Sophie S. (nee Myslicki) Seater Sr.
A proud graduate of Park High School, George found his calling to be a carpenter by trade. On September 6, 1969, he married Kathryn Doering in Baraboo WI, and they started a family. In 1975, George co-founded Associated Contractors, a venture that would later evolve into Seater Construction Company. Throughout his career, George's craftsmanship adorned countless buildings across Southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois, leaving an indelible mark on his community.
Beyond his professional achievements, George was known for his generous spirit. He enjoyed lively card games, the joy of grandchildren, and the camaraderie of watching sports.
George leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He is survived by his wife Kathy; their three children: George "Rick" Seater, Sara (Karl) Hugo, and Melinda "Mindy" (Darryl) Williams; and his adored grandchildren: Parker Jensen, Ava and Will Seater, Daniel and Lily Williams. He also leaves behind his sisters, Lorraine Stephens and Carol Seater, as well as a host of other cherished relatives and friends, notably his lifelong friend, Tom Fredericks.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Aurora Hospice, South Shore Fire Department, Wilson Funeral Home, and George's Monday night poker companions for their unwavering support.
In honoring George's wishes, a private ceremony will be held. For those wishing to pay tribute, contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to The Racine Salvation Army.
