Genevieve Ann Wilson's Obituary
Racine - Genevieve Ann Wilson, 75, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, surrounded by her family at Ascension All Saints.
Genevieve was born to the late Orville and Ramona (nee Colbert) Draheim on February 18, 1949, in Wisconsin. While growing up on a farm, Genevieve developed a deep connection to nature and developed a resilient spirit. Known for her feisty personality, she was a true spitfire, facing life with determination. Genevieve enjoyed watching NASCAR and indulging in the thrill of racing. One of Genevieve's proudest moments was when she bravely shot a black bear and crafted its fur into a beautiful rug. She embraced adventure, relishing in her travels during her younger years, which enriched her life with unforgettable experiences and cherished memories.
Genevieve had a special bond with her father, whom she loved dearly. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as watching birds and tending to her garden with her green thumb. She had a profound love for animals, with her parrot, Fred, holding a particularly cherished place in her heart.
In the hearts of those who knew her, Genevieve's memory will forever endure as a beacon of strength, resilience, and love. She leaves behind a legacy of passion and unwavering determination that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
Genevieve will be deeply missed by her children: James Albright, Tonya Dupuis (Kevin), Edwin Listrom (Mystical), Theodore “Thor” Listrom (Tammi), and Michael Hadler; several loving grandchildren; siblings: Jeffrey Colbert, Jackie Thomsen, Greg Colbert, Steven Draheim, and Mike Cole; along with many other relatives and friends.
Genevieve was preceded in death by her sister, Concetta Williams.
A time of visitation for Genevieve will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M.
