Frank Joseph Callewaert's Obituary
RACINE—Frank Joseph Callewaert, 86, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014.
Frank was born on March 20, 1928 to the late Boudwin and Eliza Callewaert in Sturtevant. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Ruth Welch, on October 9, 1948 at St. Bonaventure’s in Sturtevant. Frank was a member of St. Sebastian’s Catholic Church.
Being a farmer, Frank was a hard worker throughout his life. He was an intelligent man who could explain the weather to anybody. He enjoyed gardening, studying birds, reading magazines, and doing puzzles. Frank was an avid Packers fan, and he also supported the Badgers and the Brewers. He was a loving family man who loved nothing more than spending time with his loved ones.
Frank will be dearly missed by his wife of 66 years, Ruth; his children, Ken (Darnell) Callewaert, Patricia Baclawski, and Susan Callewaert; grandchildren, Jennifer (Marty) Tilot, and Casmira Baclawski; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Taylor Tilot; sisters, Laura Emmerling, Irma Sturicz, and Mary (Bob) Waraxa; and sisters-in-law, Susan Callewaert, and Shirley Yerzy. Frank also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Boudwin and Eliza; his son, Chuck Callewaert; brothers, Albert, Jerry (Irene), Joseph (Cynthia), and Camile Callewaert; and his sisters, Martha (Earl) Burns, and Irene (Rudy) Schmidt.
Private funeral services for Frank, and his interment at West Lawn Memorial Park, will be held at a later time.
