Frances Tradewell's Obituary
Mrs. Tradewell, 89, passed away at Harmony Living Center, on Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006. She was born in Racine on Feb. 24, 1917 to the late Anthony and Rose (nee: Nigarawna) Chevis.
She lived all of her life in Racine. She was united in marriage to Wesley P. Tradewell in Racine, on Oct. 24, 1942. He preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 1990.
She was employed at Gold Metal Furniture Co. and later for J.C. Penney Co, working as a sales clerk for many years retiring in 1982.
She enjoyed fishing, gardening, canning, freezing and entertaining family and friends. "Always room for one more."
She is survived by a daughter Mary (Tom) Pietras of Racine; sons, Bill (Margie) Tradewell of Kenosha, Jim (Ann) Tradewell of Denton, GA, John (Becky) Tradewell of Madison, Tom (Cyndi) Tradewell of Minco, OK; seventeen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, sister, Ann Russell, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul, Jacob, Frank and Peter.
Funeral services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home 1212 Lathrop Ave., on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Private inurnment services for the family will be held at a later date at West Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006 from 5-8 p.m.
Memorials in memory of Mrs. Tradewell to the American Heart Association have been suggested.
