Frances Ann Reed's Obituary
Huntley, IL – Frances Ann Reed, age 70, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2018.
Frances was born in Kansas City, KS to James and Anne (nee Goodman) Appleton on March 16, 1947. She graduated from St, Pius the X in 1965 and was united in marriage to Wayne A. Reed II on August 30, 1968.
Frances retired from Pittsburgh Tubing after 15 years in 2010 as a Traffic Safety Manager. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntley, IL. Frances had an impressive knack for arts and crafts. She had fun singing Karaoke and playing games, but most importantly, Frances enjoyed spending time with family.
Frances will be dearly missed by her husband, Wayne; daughters: Kelly Zarobsky, Kori (Ralph Zeigler Jr.) Barnett and Kathy (Paul) Ruckel; grandchildren: Timmy Barnett, Sean Zarobsky, Claire Ruckel and Jay Ruckel; brother, Gerry (Anita) Appleton; sisters-in-law: Lucy Appleton and Cordie Adcock; aunt, Berenice Goodman; eight nieces and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Appleton; sister-in-law, Carol Dryden; nephew, Lee Caldwell; and nieces: Angela and Jessica Appleton.
A Celebration of Frances’ Life will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley, IL 60142 on Saturday, February 17, 2018, beginning with a visitation at 9:00 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Memorials to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society have been suggested.
