Florence Szczepanski's Obituary
Racine - Mrs. Florence V. (nee: Thorsen) Szczepanski, 87, passed away at Froedtert Hospital on January 27, 2009.
Florence was born in Racine to the late Andrew and Adelia (nee: Mickelson) Thorsen on May 12, 1922. She lived in Racine her whole life. She was united in marriage in Racine to Roman S. Szczepanski on January 16, 1943 who preceded her in death on August 1, 1990.
Mrs. Szczepanski was a member of St Edward's Catholic Church and was employed at Goldblatt's for 25 years. She retired in 1985. She was hard working mother and loved her family dearly.
She will be sadly missed by her two sons, Ronald (Carol) Szczepanski of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas and Jerry Szczepanski of Frisco, Texas; Debbie Butler of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren, Steven, Jake (Ashley), Toby (Jennifer) and Lisa (Marc) Garza; four great grandchildren, Ryan, Luke, Zach and Jack; one brother and three sisters-in-law, Wes (Marie) Thorsen of Richardson, Texas, Janet Thorsen of Racine and Evie Thorsen of Maple Grove, Minnesota; other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by two brothers Glenn and Norbert.
Visitation and viewing will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 9 am until the ceremony at 10 am with Fr. Alan Bratkowski officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Red Cross.
