Erville Don Phegley's Obituary
Racine-Erville Don Phegley, 91, passed away peacefully at The Villa at Lincoln Park on April 11, 2020.
Erville was born on January 1, 1929 to Erville and Helen (nee Walker) Phegley in Shelbyville, IL. Erville’s parents passed away while he was very young and was raised by his grandparents; Samuel and Stella Phegley.
Erville worked as a warehouse manager and sales assistant for his brother, Robert Phegley, who was the sales distributor for Stella D’Oro Biscuit Company. Erville enjoyed being outside and all outdoor activities. His interests included gardening, yard work and bird watching. He was also a devoted reader of the Bible and was conversant in the Holy Scripture. Erville had a passion for the St. Louis Cardinals and was a lifelong fan. He was also an avid supporter of The Green Bay Packers.
Left to cherish Erville’s memory is his nephew, Michael Phegley; niece, Cynthia (Mike) Miller; and sister-in-law, Carol Phegley.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Phegley; his parents and grandparents.
