Emolyn Sylvia Wendtorf's Obituary
Mount Pleasant - Emolyn Sylvia Wendtorf, age 90, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2022, at the Villa at Lincoln Park Nursing Home.
Emolyn was born in Prentice, WI to Arvid and Lillian (nee Matson) Anderson on June 13, 1932. In Chicago, on August 31, 1957, she was united in marriage to Robert Eugene Wendtorf Sr.
Emolyn worked at Bob’s Hardware in Silver Lake, the family-owned business. She also drove school bus for many years. Her most recent employment was ten years with Culligan Water, retiring in 1991. Emolyn loved to spend her days drawing and painting nature scenes.
Emolyn is lovingly remembered by her children: Janice L. Koepke and Robert E. Jr. (Jean); grandchildren: Ericka (Sarah) Koepke, Amy Koepke, Abby Koepke (Chris Karnowski), Sarah (Alan) Dennis, Donald Koepke (Brandon Ahler), Matthew Wendtorf, and Jacob Wendtorf (Samantha Flores); great grandchildren: Victoria Johnston, Christian Karnowski, Mason Wendtorf, and Greyson Wendtorf; sister, Dorothy Wanish; and many nieces and nephews.
Emolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sr.; brothers and sisters-in-law: Elwood (Ardis) Anderson and Emmett (Cathy) Anderson; and brother-in-law, Wally Wanish.
Per Emolyn’s wishes, she was cremated and will be reunited with her husband in a special place.
