Emil Schulz's Obituary
Mount Pleasant - Emil Schulz, 95, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Health Care – All Saints on Thursday, January 22, 2015.
Emil was born in Milwaukee on August 23, 1919 to David and Katherine (nee: Weigel) Schulz. He graduated from William Horlick High School and went on to serve proudly in the United States Army. Emil was united in marriage to the love of his life, June Feistel on July 17, 1943. They enjoyed 42 years of marriage together.
A man of great faith, Emil was an active member of Plymouth Congregational Church. He was employed by S. C. Johnson for 35 years of dedicated service in the Maintenance Department as a Pipe fitter. Above all, he was a loving and devoted Dad, Grandpa, Great-grandpa and Great-Great Grandpa.
He will be deeply missed by his children, Ron (Susan) Schulz and Christine Hann; grandchildren, Monica (Arnold) Craft, Julie (Jeff) Sobieski and Brent (Chrissy) Schulz; 10 great grandchildren and 4 great –great grandchildren. He also leaves behind other loving relatives and loyal friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, June in 1985; his parents; four sisters and two brothers.
A Memorial service with full Military Honors celebrating Emil’s life will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 12:00 noon with Rev. David Echelbarger officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 10:30 AM until the time of service at 12:00 noon. A private inurnment will take place at another time at Graceland Cemetery.
