Elmer Alfred Ferg's Obituary
RACINE- Elmer Alfred Ferg, age 92, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 2, 2018.
On October 22, 1925, in Racine, Wisconsin, Elmer was born to Adolf and Amelia (nee Summerfeld) Ferg. Throughout his 48 working years, Elmer worked at Walker Manufacturing, Hamilton Beach, Wiscon, and retired from Triple E as an Electrostatic Painter.
Elmer was a member of Oak Creek Assembly of God Church for 30 years. He placed great importance on studying God’s word in the Bible. Elmer was an avid reader and enjoyed building model airplanes and motorcycles, especially HOGs. He also enjoyed building puzzles. Elmer was known to always offer a helping hand and was very generous with what he had. Above all, he loved his family.
Left to cherish Elmer’s memory are his daughter, Rose Marie Ferg; his grandchildren: Brian Ferg, Robert (Heather) Ferg, Jr., Tracey Ferg, Adrienne Ferg, and Jill (Damon) Maloy; great grandchildren: Breanna Rainwater, Michael Ferg, Christina Ferg, Elizabeth Ferg, Danielle Mullins, Alissa Maloy, Ethan Maloy, Abby, Maloy; special niece, Sandra Bates, and other relatives and friends.
Elmer was preceded in death by his parents: Adolf and Amelia Ferg; his former wife, Marie Ferg; his son, Robert Ferg, Sr., and his brothers and sisters: Alvin, Melvin, Leroy, Harold, Ervin, Lester, Lorraine, Mildred, Beatrice, and Rosemary.
A service celebrating Elmer’s life with be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home (1212 Lathrop Avenue) with Pastor Walker officiating. There will be a time of visitation at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Online condolences may be made at www.wilsonfuneralhomeinc.com.
