Elizabeth "Betty" Miskinis' Obituary
Elizabeth “Betty” Bertha (nee: James) Miskinis, age 83, passed away on December 26, 2016 at her residence.
She was born on November 4, 1933 in Racine, WI to Arthur and Josephine (nee: Ruins) James. Betty was a lifelong resident of Racine. Betty was employed by Dremel, Webster Electric and Multi Products.
Betty was very fashion-conscious and loved to shop, and enjoyed finding special treasures at resale and thrift stores. She was fond of decorating and interior design. Betty took great delight in her grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her son, Tim of Onalaska, WI; grandchildren: Rachel (Michael) Rentmeester and Johanna Miskinis; great grandchild, Mira Rentmeester; sister, Patricia Slayback; special friends Lynn and Ted Bodnar; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Tennyck; and ex-husband, Donald Miskinis.
A celebration of Betty’s life will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 1212 Lathrop Ave. Racine, WI 53405 with Rev. Holly Anderle officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Casa del Mare for the loving care they gave to Betty.
