Elaine M. Andersen's Obituary
Racine - Elaine M. (Kirk) Andersen, age 91 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday morning, November 25, 2016.
Elaine was born of Norwegian heritage on April 24, 1925. She was lovingly adopted at 5 months by her Danish parents, Jens and Marie Kirk. She lived her early childhood years on a dairy farm where J. I. Case High School now stands. She attended Mygetts Corner School and Union Grove High School. She was united in marriage to Victor Andersen on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 1942 in the Air Force base chapel, San Angelo, Texas. He passed away on November 20, 2004. A woman of strong faith and love for her Lord, Elaine was a member of Racine Bible Church where she was involved in 50 Plus and an active member of her ABF (Adult Bible Fellowship). She loved being a homemaker and helping others. She volunteered at Lincoln Village Convalescent Center.
Elaine is survived by three sons and one daughter: Daryl (Charmaine) Andersen of Oconomowoc, Kirk (Tean) Andersen, Dean (Carrie) Andersen and D’Ann Barton of Arkansas. She is further survived by 11 grandchildren: Lisa (Bruce) Creg, Cory (Marva) Ryan, Tracy (Michael) Smith, Chad (Cortney) Andersen, Bryan (Kira) Andersen, Dana (Matt) Mohs, Jessica (Scott) West, Cris (Angela) Andersen, Andy (Jane) Andersen, Peter (Jill) Humphrey, Gregory (Andrea) Humphrey; twenty great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter. She was proceeded in death by her parents and infant son, Ralph, brother Alvin Kirk, daughter-in-law, Mary Andersen and son-in-law Richard Barton.
Funeral services will be held at Racine Bible Church, 12505 Spring St., Sturtevant, WI, on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at 11:00 am with Pastor Spencer DeBurgh officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Racine Bible Church.
