Edward A. Roder
RACINE—Edward A. Roder, 76, passed away peacefully at Ridgewood Care Center on Sunday, August 9, 2015.
Edward was born on February 17, 1939 in Milan, WI to the late Harlow and Irene (nee: Baker) Roder. Edward graduated from Park High School and served in the US Army. He worked for many years at US Can Company.
Edward was a good upholsterer. He loved watching the Packers and Brewers as an avid sports fan. Mostly, Edward enjoyed relaxing at home.
Edward will be dearly missed by his siblings, Ramona Barton of Racine, Hilbert (Diana) Roder of Fort White, Florida, Iona Post of Racine, Carol (Joe) Kraus of Union Grove, Lyle Roder of Union Grove, and Janice Bartlett of Norfolk, VA. He also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews. Edward was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Lorraine Voyles; and brothers-in-law, Ray Voyles, Howard Barton, and Richard Post.
Funeral services for Edward will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 12:30 PM at Wilson Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 12:30 PM. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
