Duane E. Bidwell's Obituary
RACINE- Duane E. Bidwell, age 68, passed away on January 19, 2015.
Duane was born to the late Noel Bidwell and Janice Bidwell on April 13, 1946 in Racine, Wisconsin. On June 15, 1974, Duane was united in marriage to the love of his life, Alene Bidwell at the Parkway Church in Oak creek, Wisconsin.
Duane served in the United States Army for six years. He was awarded two bronze stars during this time. Duane was also a survivor of a heart transplant for 8 and a half years.
He was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church, in Racine. Duane retired in 2005 from the Ladish Co., in Cudahy, Wisconsin. Being an avid car enthusiast, Duane owned 50 cars and motorcycles in his lifetime. He loved going on long drives. Duane also loved his cats, ferrets, poodle, and all little animals in general.
Surviving are his: wife, Alene Bidwell; daughter, Jeanette Mainville; sons, James (Sabina) Smith, Donald Bidwell, and Daniel Bidwell; grand-daughters, Katie (Avery) Marsh, Emily Smith, Kylie Mervyn; great grand-daughters, Laelia and Lexi Marsh; grandsons, Michael Bidwell, Logan Bidwell, Jonathan Mainville, Jay Mainville; mother, Janice Bidwell; sisters, Joy (Charles) Welch, Patti (Bill) Kennedy, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Duane was preceded in death by his father, Noel E. Bidwell.
A funeral service will be on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Apostolic Faith Church at 11:00 AM. Friends and relatives may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Pastor Schumacher will officiate. Interment will follow at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial, Union Grove, Wisconsin, on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Memorials to the family have been suggested.
