I will miss Doug as will many of his friends and family. We were similar in our sarcasm and wit. I enjoyed our competition to see who could be the most sarcastic about everything from politics, sports and life in general. We were drawn together because of the friendship of my wife with his beloved Nancy. Our love for dogs was also a bond since we both loved dogs throughout our lives. I was proud to be his "Best Man" at his wedding in Reno and subsequent post wedding dinner on a Lake Tahoe paddlewheel in what only could be called a "bitterly cold and windy day" on the lake. Doug, may you rest in peace and enjoy your pups who have preceded you over the bridge.
