Doris Anderson's Obituary
Mrs. Anderson, 73, went to be with her Lord, surrounded by her family on Wednesday morning, June 25, 2008. She was born in Chicago on Aug. 6, 1934 to the late Sven and Elin (nee: Ahlman) Johanson. She lived most of her life in Racine County. She was united in marriage to Richard E. Anderson in Racine on May 4, 1979.
She was employed at Southern Wisconsin Center as an Aid and House Parent retiring in 1997. She was an active member of Racine Bible Church, played the piano for the Salvation Army with the Visitation Choir and worked with the Meals on Wheels program.
She is survived by her husband, Richard E. Anderson, children, Mark (Sandy) Timmons, Lisa Engelhard, three grandchildren, Jason, Amy, Daniel, great-granddaughter, Alexis, four step-children, Cindy (Dale) Hegedorn, Gary Anderson, Cheryl (Gary) Kohl, Carol (Terry) Williams, and numerous other relatives also survive. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter.
Funeral services will be held at Racine Bible Church 12505 Spring St., on Monday, June 30, 2008 at 12 Noon with Rev. John Miesel officiating. Interment will follow at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family at the church on Monday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
