Dorian Ellen Wuerker's Obituary
Mrs. Dorian E. (nee: Harlow) Wuerker, 85, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Lincoln Village.
Mrs. Dorian Wuerker was born in Racine to the late Addison and Ellen (nee: Wickstrom) Harlow on November 12, 1925. She graduated from Washington Park High School in 1944. On June 24, 1950 she was united in marriage to Raymond C. Wuerker at St. John's Lutheran Church and together they shared 55 years until his passing in 2006.
Dorian was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She was employed by Walkers and Gettys (Gould) where she retired in 1985. She was a member of NARFE, 55+, thrift store volunteer, St. Johns Mission Guild, DAR, Mayflower Descendents, and Friends of Seniors.
She is survived by her children, Kurt (Lori) Wuerker of Kenosha and Barbara (John) Collen of Racine; grandchildren, Ryan and Grant; her sister-in-law, Elaine McLaren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond, a sister-in-law, Norma Wuerker, and brothers-in-law, Herbert Wuerker and James McLaren.
Funeral services in honor of Dorian will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 9:00am with Rev. Quinn officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to meet the family on Saturday from 8:00am until the time of service. Private interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to St. Johns Mission Guild and Lincoln Village Activities Department.
The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff at Lincoln Village, especially the Activities Department, for all they did for Dorian to make her time there enjoyable.
