Donna Lee Strand's Obituary
Racine - Donna Lee Strand (nee Curtis), age 75, of East Troy, Wisconsin (currently residing in Chicago, Illinois), passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025. She was born in Munich, Germany, on February 9, 1950, to the late Donald Leonard and Mary Jane (nee Cycmanick) Curtis.
Donna was united in marriage to Gordon Strand on November 4, 1978, in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. Gordon preceded her in death on July 19, 2003. Together, they shared many beautiful years of love and happiness.
Donna was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including reading, knitting, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Her love for her family knew no bounds, even moving to Illinois to take care of her grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter: Jennifer Cooper; her grandchildren: Nathan and Alyssa Cooper; her sisters: Chris Luedtke and Billie Ann Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her sons: Jeff and Donny Barber; and her brothers: Billy and Ron Curtis.
Donna’s warm heart, kind spirit, and quiet strength will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.
A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in East Troy, Wisconsin on Saturday, March 1, 2025, beginning with a visitation at 11:00 a.m. until service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Michael Iannelli officiating.
The family would like to extend a warm thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff that took care of Donna over the last year.
