I miss my dad😭
I remember Don very well. We completed on and off for the first chair of the cello section in the orchestra at Park High. What I remember most about it was how talented he was at technique and how his general attitude toward life shone through when he played. He was a true character! We went on a few dates in the early years at Park High and even after I found my husband, Jr year, always remained friends. I remember how proud his mom always was was of him. The last time I saw him was when my hubs preached at the Lutheran churchh in Sturtevant and he was there. We had a wonderful visit and the character I remembered was still there. Our condolences to Don's family and other friends. They will all definitely miss him.
I am so very sorry for your loss. I have known Don since kindergarten and all through high School. In kindergarten and the next few years we could have passed as brothers.
When he had a patch on one eye I had one on the other. We did not run together but were always friends. We reconnected on FB after almost sixty years and even spoke a few times. He was a good friend and one of the best musicians that I have ever known.
I will miss him
I can still remember years ago that he and his mother sometimes played Ave Maria on Christmas eve at Holy Communion Church. It was very beautiful. Many years ago I took violin lessons from his mother and my son did Suzuki with his sister. What a talented family. I'm so sorry for your loss.

We knew each other for many years but then we were cousins. Part of a very large extended family that were in and out of each other's lives over the years. His wife and I graduated from Park High together (married our Prom dates and had kids close in age who knew each other, more cousins in our lines from Denmark.
Rest in peace Donny...my sincere condolences to his family.
