Diane Ruth Lloyd's Obituary
Diane Ruth Lloyd (née Daly), age 80, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026, in Racine, Wisconsin.
Born on December 14, 1945, in Racine to the late Howard and Louise (née Kemp) Daly. On March 27, 1965, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Thomas Lloyd, at Holy Communion Lutheran Church in Racine. Together they shared many wonderful years filled with laughter, love, and adventure until his passing on January 16, 2024.
Diane’s life was defined by devotion—to her family, her friends, and the countless joyful moments she created along the way. A proud grandmother and great-grandmother, she cherished every minute spent with her beloved family. Her crocheting projects remain treasures in the homes of those she loved most.
A spirited Green Bay Packers fan, Diane never missed a game and could cheer with the best of them. She delighted in traveling with Thomas to Door County and once proclaimed her favorite vacation as the one where they visited every casino in Wisconsin—a memory she shared with pride and laughter.
Known affectionately (and quite accurately) as “Princess,” Diane embraced the title with grace, humor, and a sparkle in her eye. Feisty, outspoken, and full of heart, she proudly called herself the family matriarch—and no one ever dared to disagree. Her strength, humor, and larger-than-life personality became the glue that held generations together.
Diane will be dearly missed by her children: Michael Lloyd, Kevinn Lloyd, and Shelly Lloyd; grandchildren: Jessica (Anthony) Parenteau, Jennifer (Austin) Lawrence, and Jami (Dakota Marquez) Becker; and great-grandchildren: Kaiden, Paxton, and Alana. She is also survived by her siblings: Carol Daly, Mary (Keith) Card, Barbara (Dennis) Taggart, James Daly, and Peggy (Philip) Thunhorst; as well as many other dear family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Lloyd, and her sister-in-law, Gwen Daly.
Diane’s family takes comfort in knowing that she has been reunited with Thomas once more, smiling that unmistakable “Princess” smile and watching over those she loved so fiercely.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Aurora Medical Center in Mount Pleasant, and Aurora at Home Hospice, for the compassionate care of Diane.
