Delores C. Lietke
Racine- Delores (nee: Prissel) Lietke, 76, beloved wife of Richard, joined him in eternal life on Tuesday, February 8, 2011.
She was born in Nelson to the late Henry and Lucy (nee: Bauer) Prissel on February 9, 1934 and grew up in the Nelson and Durand area. After graduating from high school, she moved to Racine for work and met her future husband Richard. They were married on February 27, 1954 and resided for over 30 years in Racine while they raised their family. After their retirement in 1987, she moved back to her birthplace for a number of years before recently relocating back to Racine to be closer to her family.
Delores was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Racine and enjoyed bowling, fishing, cards, and road trips.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Kathy (Paul) Aber, Cherie (Robert) Pasionek, Barb (Jim Hansen) Lietke, and Mike (Lori) Lietke; grandchildren, Vickie (Aaron) Miller, Danielle Rogers, and Justin Pasionek; two sisters, Marge (Arde) Bollinger and Carol (Larry) Carothers; brother, Arnie (Arleen) Prissel; sister-in-law Doris Prissel; brother-in-law Bob Driver; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, including special friends Jeanette Mason, Shirley Becker, and Marsha Benner. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard; brother Bill; sisters Dot and Ann; brother-in-law Chuck; nephew Rick; and great niece Dee Dee.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mondovi (503 West Hudson Street) on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 11:30am. Interment will follow at Buffalo County Sacred Heart Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Monday from 10:30am until the time of service and on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Wilson Funeral Home in Racine at 4:00pm with a prayer service at 6:00pm. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
