Dean Dennis Lalor's Obituary
Racine - Dean Dennis Lalor, 74, passed away peacefully at Ascension All Saints Hospital on Saturday, June 19, 2021.
Dean was born to the late Bernard and Elida “Susie” (nee Smith) Lalor on October 27, 1946, in Racine. Dean was a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Army. He served his country for 20 years.
Dean last worked as an aide at Mendota Mental Health. He was a member of Olympia Brown Unitarian Universalist Church and was humanist in his beliefs. He was also a member of the German Club. Dean was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He had an extensive book collection and was a Civil War enthusiast. He had an incredible sense of humor.
Dean celebrated one last life event less than one week before he died. Dean was thrilled to meet his newest great-granddaughter, Norah, which gave him abundant joy.
Dean will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marilyn Joyce; children: Anthony, Joseph, and Amy; grandchildren: Kamryn, Zachary, Matthew, Evan, Aamira, Gavin, and Silas; great-grandchildren: William and Norah; brothers: David Lalor and Linus (Julie) Lalor; sister, Thayne Brown; along with many other relatives and friends.
Dean is predeceased by his parents, Bernard and Elida; siblings: Kathy Werla, Clayton Lalor, and Patricia Lalor; sister-in-law, Lura Lalor; and brother-in-law, John Brown.
A celebration of Dean’s life with full military honors will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Sunday, June 27, 2021, at 5:00 P.M. with Reverend Tony Larson officiating. The service will be on Facebook Live - (Search for Wilson Funeral Home Racine). Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 P.M. until the time of service. A private family committal service will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Memorials in Dean’s name may be directed to Meals on Wheels (C/O Fiscal Department, 1717 Taylor Avenue, Racine, WI 53403).
