David Arthur Spaulding's Obituary
STURTEVANT- David Arthur Spaulding, affectionately known to his family as “Skip”, age 67, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 23, 2018.
On May 19, 1950, David was born to the late David E. and Dorothy (nee Brent) Spaulding in Gary, IN. David proudly served his country in the United States Army serving tours in both Vietnam and Cambodia. He was employed at J.I. Case for 31 years and worked in the warehouse for 18 years, on transmissions for nine years, and in various areas of the plant for four years. David retired in 1999.
David was an avid Packers and Brewers fan. He was a member of the J.I. Case 20 year club. David was a life member of VFW #9948 in Sturtevant, a member of the American Legion Post #171, and a member of Vietnam Veterans of America. David was also a talented musician and was the lead guitarist and soloist in many local bands.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Michelle Spaulding; his son, Aaron Spaulding; his grandchildren: Adajha DeMars, Devin Spaulding, Jacob Spaulding, and Raigen Spaulding; a great granddaughter, Saphina Delvalle; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of David’s life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home (1212 Lathrop Avenue). There will be a time of visitation with the family from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will take place at Graceland Cemetery.
