David T. Jeanson's Obituary
Racine – David T. Jeanson, 76, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Brookside Care Center in Kenosha, after a long journey with Parkinson’s disease.
David was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on July 3, 1949, to the late Howard and Blanche (née Hynek) Jeanson. On November 13 and 14, 1975, he was united in marriage to Ingrid Meinke in Tønder, Denmark, and Apensen, Germany, celebrating their love with two ceremonies.
David proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a dentist in West Racine for many years and held his doctorate degree. Outside of his career, David was an avid golfer, a long-time member of Racine Bible Church where he sang in the choir and was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan. David also had a remarkable sports card collection that he loved to share. Musically inclined, he enjoyed playing the guitar, especially the songs of James Taylor. His deep faith was evident in many ways, including his memorization of the entire chapter of Romans 6. David loved the little things in life, whether it was singing an improvised song, going on a walk, counting fireflies, taking pictures of birds or working in his rose garden.
David will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Ingrid Jeanson; his children, Nathaniel (Susanna) Jeanson, Tim (Jess) Jeanson, and Rebecca Jeanson (Mark Pinto); and his beloved grandchildren, Judson, Edith, James, Judah, Harper, Vail, and Remy. He is further survived by his siblings, Risa Rodriguez, Joel (Karen) Jeanson, and Howard (Faith) Jeanson; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
David was preceded in death by his stepmother, Nancy Jeanson.
A celebration of David’s life will be held at Racine Bible Church on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 11:30 AM. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 10:30 AM until the time of service. Inurnment with military honors will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove at 9:00 AM.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Hospice Alliance—especially Chaplain Matt, Tina, and Terry—as well as the caring team at Brookside Care Center, Memory Care Unit in Kenosha for their compassionate support. A special thank you to Adelina, who always knew how to make him laugh.
