Daniel "Dan" Karagianis' Obituary
Oak Creek - Daniel "Dan" Karagianis, 67, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025. Dan was born on December 13, 1957, to the late James and Betty (nee Brettin) Karagianis in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Dan was the proud partner and operator of Tarkus Automotive in Milwaukee for 37 years. After dedicating decades of hard work to his business, he happily retired in January 2022.
Known for his remarkable skills as a handyman, Dan could fix anything. His passion for being on the water, snowmobiling, and his love for boats were a few of the things that brought him joy. But above all, his love for family and friends stood out. Dan had a big heart, always offering support, laughter, and kindness to everyone he knew. His love for classic rock, particularly Alice Cooper, resonated deeply with him, as did his playful affection for his cats, whom he fondly referred to as "monkeys."
Dan leaves behind his beloved daughter, Natalie (Tony) Corroo, and his adored granddaughter, Sienna Corroo, who brought him immense pride and happiness. He will be deeply missed by his loving siblings, Patty (Ray) Gillum and Tom (Kathy) Karagianis; his former spouse, Barb Ohrmund; nieces: Jennifer, Stephanie, Amanda, and Jocelyn; great-nephew, Dylan; and many more cherished family members and friends.
A celebration of Dan’s life will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 6:00 PM with Pastor Mark Jaramillo officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 PM until the time of service.
Memorials in Dan’s name may be directed to the Wisconsin Humane Society - Milwaukee Campus (4500 W Wisconsin Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53208, https://www.wihumane.org/donate).
