Dale Chester Siekert's Obituary
Racine - In loving memory of our dearest brother in Christ, Dale Chester Siekert, who passed away September 6, 2024. His family and friends mourn the loss of a kind-hearted soul who graced us with his presence for 68 years. Born on December 5, 1955, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dale left a lasting impact on all those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A committed and meticulous cleaning service worker at SC Johnson in Racine, Wisconsin. He dedicated 25 years of hard work, leaving a lasting impact on his colleagues and friends. His passion for his work was matched only by his love of neighbors, friends and family.
Fond memories of Dale will live on through the stories shared by those who knew him best. His sense of humor and play on words that often forced those around him to take a moment to groan, smile or outright laugh. He loved reading the Bible and treasured the book, Happy Trails: The Story of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans!
In his leisure time, Dale found joy in the simple pleasures of life – relishing moments with loved ones, sharing stories, and enjoying a well-deserved Mountain Dew, Twinkie, cheese or peanut butter Ritz Bits. He also had a passion for riding his bike all over town when he was able, drawing, nurturing plants, love of classical gospel music and the word of God brought him immense happiness and unforgettable memories and moments. Dale had an exceptional ability to recall history, especially Racine’s. He loved seasonal decorations especially the Christmas manger scene and snowmen. In his later years, he became almost unbeatable when playing Bingo.
In his personal life, Dale was the youngest of seven Siekert brothers. Dale’s surviving siblings include Harold (Nancy), Donn, Dan (Cindy) and Theodore, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Dorthy Siekert (nee Andersen) and brothers: Timmy and Tom Siekert.
In lieu of a service, Dale’s ashes will be spread in a place he chose with a small intimate group of friends and family.
The family would like to extend a heart-felt “Thank You” to Elder Cecil Jackson, Janice Stillman and Community Christian Church for their love, support, and friendship given to Dale over the years.
As we prepare to lay Dale to rest, let us find solace in the memories and moments we shared, the laughter we enjoyed, and the love that will forever remain in our hearts. Join us in bidding farewell to a remarkable sweet gentle soul who touched the lives of many. Heaven will be his sweet new home as his soul finds fulfilment in the promise of our Lord Jesus Christ, knowing that he was deeply loved and will never be forgotten!
“You can shed tears that he is gone,
or you can smile because he has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that he'll come back,
or you can open your eyes and see all he's left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see him,
or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember only that he is gone,
or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back.
Or you can do what he'd want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.”
