I remember my mother, Joyce, telling me how hard it was for Dale sometimes to be the middle child -to have been the baby for so long and then to have these two other siblings come along, but she also told me that Dale was a real hero. That he had rescued a child from a burning building and that she was proud of how brave he was.
I remember my Uncle Dale as a fun, friendly man who was always glad to see me even when we didn't see each other very often.
