Clarence Peterson's Obituary
RACINE - Clarence T. Peterson, 80, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home, early Friday morning, March 2, 2007.
Clarence was born in Racine on May 20, 1926 to the late Clarence and Mildred (nee: Foxwell) Peterson. He was united in marriage to the former Donna Latshaw in Racine on November 10, 1955. He was in the Navy R.O.T.C. and then served in the Army Corp. of Engineers during the Korean War where he was stationed in Italy.
Clarence was a City of Racine Civil Engineer for 37 years retiring in 1988. He was a past secretary for the Racine Municipal Employees Credit Union. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church until 1995. He belonged to Christ Church United Methodist from 1995 - 2006. He was a member of the Racine Chorale, Racine Symphonic Chorus, the Racine Theatre Guild, and the Engineering Society.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Donna; one daughter, Elisa Weeks of Caledonia; one son, Tom Peterson of Racine; one grandson, Alan Minikel living in California; and his sister, Gayle Laursen of Racine.
A memorial service will be held at the West Lawn Memorial Park Chapel on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 1 pm with Bill Underwood officiating. Inurnment will be at West Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Chiwaukee Prairie Preservation Fund or the Racine Theatre Guild have been suggested.
